History
S.O.C.A. was conceived from the moment the pioneers of the Cameron University Caribbean Recruitment Program set foot at Cameron University. The concept of a Caribbean Student Recruitment program was introduced to Cameron University by Dr. Randy Glean, Associate Professor at Midwestern State University, and a native of the island of Grenada.

S.O.C.A. was officially recognized as an organization on campus on February 1, 2001. Since then, the program has developed into a full fledged organization on campus. As well as being one of the largest organizations on campus, S.O.C.A has received acclaim from the faculty, staff and students of Cameron University and even the Lawton community.
